The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a free tax service provided to households that make less than $64,000 per year. Our team of volunteers, supported by full-time staff, are IRS trained and certified and will provide you with the highest quality return possible.   • A traditional (longer) appointment with same day filing

What to Bring TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

The button below gives examples of common documents clients are required to bring in order for us to complete your taxes. Please note that you are not required to have all of these documents (i.e. if you were not a student, you will not need forms 1098-E or 1098-T). Prior to your appointment, please review the list as well as the examples that are available to make sure you have all applicable documents.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Greeters: Help create a welcoming and organized environment for clients, ensuring their experience is smooth and efficient.

  • Intake Specialists: Help clients to fill out intake forms, while gathering the appropriate tax documents from clients. 

  • Tax Preparers: Receive training and certification to assist clients with tax preparation. No prior experience is required, and training is provided.

  • Site Coordinators: Oversee the tax site to ensure a smooth operation while also ensuring compliance with all IRS and VITA program guidelines.
