CMU’s Dance United
Central Michigan University's 7th annual Dance United will be held in McGuirk Arena on Thursday, November 15 at the John G. Kulhavi Events Center. CMU and the Mount Pleasant community raised more than $56,000 at last year’s event! This University-driven dance event sparks a friendly fundraising competition among CMU students, faculty, staff and members of the community as part of the University's annual United Way Fund Drive.
United Way is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for school teachers in Gratiot and Isabella Counties to apply for educational mini-grants of up to $500 each. Eligible expenses include classroom supplies and/or equipment, field trips, professional development, etc. Application deadline is October 31, 2018.
PITCH-ER THIS! is a youth development competition for students in Gratiot and Isabella Counties. United Way will provide funding to the winning team(s) to help bring their idea to life. Event attendees and a panel of community leaders will vote for their favorite project. Ideas range from programs and events to technology and arts that will help people achieve their full potential through quality education, financial stability and healthy lifestyles.
2018-19 Community Campaign Incentive
The United Way Board of Trustees has a set bold goal to raise $1,000,000 during the 2018-19 Community Campaign to Break the Cycle of Generational Poverty through educational programs that give children the skills to succeed and help adults achieve long-term financial stability so they can support themselves and their families. Donate $150 or more to the United Way 2018-19 Community Campaign and you will be automatically entered for a chance to win a John Deere Gator 590M.
