The fourth annual event will take place on February 23, 2019 at the College of Medicine (CMED) Auditorium at Central Michigan University.
PITCH-ER THIS! is a youth development competition for students in Gratiot and Isabella Counties. United Way will provide funding to the winning team(s) to help bring their idea to life. Event attendees and a panel of community leaders will vote for their favorite project. The event is free and open to the public. Ideas range from programs and events to technology and arts that will help people achieve their full potential through quality education, financial stability and healthy lifestyles. PITCH-ER THIS! is hosted by United Way of Gratiot & Isabella Counties in collaboration with CMU College of Medicine students.
To provide students in Gratiot and Isabella Counties an opportunity to implement their ideas in our community.
To gain fresh perspectives on how to improve our community
To facilitate youth participation in community
To strengthen Gratiot & Isabella Counties via student projects related to quality education, financial stability and healthy lifestyles
Teach middle and high school students project development, presentation and public speaking skills

Student teams of one to four individuals should submit this application by Thursday, November 15, 2018. If the idea is approved (notification will be made by Friday, December 14, 2018), teams will work with a mentor to develop their idea and prepare for their big pitch on Saturday, February 23, 2018. Ideas may include anything from programs/events to technology and arts that will help people reach their full potential.
