The Community Campaign


In June 2017, the United Way Board of Trustees set a bold goal to raise $1,000,000 during the 2017-18 Community Campaign to break the cycle of generational poverty through educational programs that give children the skills to succeed and help adults achieve long-term financial stability so they can support themselves and their families. 

In FY18, nearly all of our internal operating expenses are being covered by corporate gifts, foundation grants and support from our Signature Partners. As a result, 93% of each individual contribution made through United Way's Community Investment Fund is being invested back into the local community through programs and services offered by local nonprofit organizations. That's 93 cents on every dollar donated!

The Community Investment Fund is the most powerful way to invest your contribution. Each year, we review program grant requests from local nonprofit organizations to determine how to most effectively invest your contribution to make a difference right in your community.

Mail your check (payable to "United Way") to 524 East Mosher Street, Suite 400, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858. 


Donate with Easy Payroll Deduction

Many local businesses provide their employees a unique opportunity to contribute through Easy Payroll Deduction. Check this list, or consult with your Human Resources/Payroll department to see if this may be an option for you.

We have a toolkit of resources available for employee campaign coordinators, and an online system for Easy Payroll Deduction available for use by companies and organizations.
